Fact one: Tuition, room board, at all colleges and universities, private and slate, does increase - each year. Fact Two: Yes, one’s parents may be able to afford to foot the cost this year but what will happen in the coming years? Tuition (including room and board), on an average, increase anywhere be tween $500 to $1,000 per year. Do you think that just-becatise mommy and daddy bring home a combined salary of $31,000 (after taxes) per year means they can afford to send you off. The major elements depending on and coming out of that salary are mortgage-rent, utili ties, food, car payments and maintenance, charge bills, clothing, medical and dental care for say a family of five If one attends a New Airport To Hold Open House Charlotte’s new $64 million airport terminal complex will hold a public open house to celebrate the opening of the terminal located at 6501 Old Dowd Road. On April 25 the public is invite<j to join in a festive day of entertainment that will include hands clowns aircraft, race cars and a hot air balloon -Some of the featured en-— tertainment will include the Trinidad Steel Drum Players and the Johnson C. Smith University Bullettes.
