Park are Marcus Howard Graves,
Derrick Wilson Hood, Gary Strat
ton McCollough, Melissa Vktpria
Sherrill, and Karen Renee White.
Graves is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Graves of 421 W. Park
Avenue. He has been active in the
Interact Club and the Latin Club.
He will attend UNC-CH to major in
chemistry or biology. He has a 3.2
grade point average and scored
1000 on his SAT.
Hood is the son of Mrs. Elsiecnor
Hood of 6221 Old Coach Road. He is
active in the NAACP, Interact and
the Junior ROTC. He plans to
attend Howard University or North
Carolina A&T State University to
major in engineering.
McCullough is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Craig McCollough of 4201
Castlewood Road. He is active in
the Vocational Industrial Clubs of
America, School Newspaper Staff,
Dallas

lost all patience with J.R., which
could severely hamper him n the
custody fight for his son, on a

Afton, asserts herself with J.R. but
is forced to back down.

Cotillion recording group Sister
Sledge recently donned their work
out clothes to make a special
appearance at the Fox Hills Mall in
Culver City, California. Jacki
Sorenson, the aerobic dance pion
eer, led the sisters in a special
exercise demonstration at the
mall, following which there was an
autograph-signing session at the
mall’s Wherehouse record store.
Sister Sledge's current hit album,
“The Ststera,'’ includes the dan
cercize tune entitled “Jacki’s
Theme: There’s No Stopping Us.”
For the mall appearance, Ms.
Sorenson and the sisters wore
special T-shirts bearing the song’s
title. “The Sisters” LP also con
tains the hit single “My Guy."

Sherrill is the daughter of Mr.

in the chorus, and a Governor’s
School Nominee.

White is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard White of 1100 Bil
mark Avenue. She has a 3.598
grade point average and ranks in
the top 10 percent of her class. She
has been active in the Beta Club,
' Spanish CTub, Project AMesy Pro
ject Excel and was on the Home
coming Court. She will attend the
University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill to major in accounting.
