Prophet's Column “Pray Not For This People” “Therefore PRAY NOT THOU FOR THIS PEO PLE, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them In the time that they cry unto Me for their trouble," (Jer. 11:14). The Lord spoke those weighty words to the old weeping prophet, Jere miah because of the idola try of His own chosen peo ple. "And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the in habitants of Jerusalem. They are turned back to the iniquities of their fore fathers, which refused to hear My words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My co venant which I made with their fathers,” (Jer. 11:9 10). The Lord told Jere miah not to pray for the men of and the inhabitants of Jerusalem because of their sins against Him. You didn’t know that God would stop his servant from pray ing for people, did you? This is strange doctrine to the present day ministry. Why? Because the present day ministry knows not the Lord, therefore you do not walk with the Lord and you do not listen to His voice. The majority of our preacher today will take any kind of sinner into his church on a mere profes sion of faith, without ever laying on that sinner that he must repent before God will ever take noti e of that sinner. The reason you preachers do that is be cause you are a total stranger to old time Holy Spirit conviction and Bible repentence. Personally, I don’ believe there are a dozen preachers in this nation who hav been brought under Holy Spirit conviction, been granted repentence, and Christ re vealed to their hearts through the Word of God. Now, you’ll have to take issue with me on that, and you’ll fight that, which r- i J. M. Little Second In Series shows that you do not know what I’m talking about. So all you have is just a mere profession and “easy be lievingism” which is Satan's trap to damn your poor soul to Hell. Our preachers do not know the condition of sinners. I was talking to a preacher just recently who denied the TOTAL DEPRAVITY of man. When you deny the total depravity of men, you’ll always go astray on everything in the Word of God. The Lord God of Heaven would not let Jeremiah pray for the house of Israel because Isreal had forsaken Him and run after other gods. Do you think you can play the harlot running after false gods and then the Lord is going to receive you? A thousand times no! Preacher, do you think the Lord is going to hear your prayers for your church members when you and your church members run after the world? A thousand times no! Our church members talk, walk, dress, smell, visit the theatres, watch television, cuss, and strut their naked bodies on the beach front just like the world. And the preacher is afraid to say anything about it. Which means you are giving your consent. Churches today are selling alcoholic be verages. The majority of our churches are walking hand in hand with the world and you cannot tell a church member from the world! There is no separa tion! But the Lord said: COME YE OUT FROM AMONG THEM, AND BE YE SEPARATE.” Where is the separation today? You can’t find it, except in a few hearts, a very few. Just as Israel apostisized, so has the professing church today apostasized. I know what I’m talking about. Our churches are on the road to Hell. Let me hasten to say; “any preacher who denies the TOTAL DEPRAVITY of man is not saved and is not called of God to preach!” Now that won’t sit well with you but I know what I’m talking about and I’ll stake my hope of Heaven on the truths I’m laying down. Before the Lord awakened me to my lost condition (that is where I lose you preachers) I lived and rested on a false hope in the religious world. I knew nothing about the reality of Christ. I knew water bap tism and church member ship. I was active in the church, taught Sunday School, etc. And I’m sure it was said that if anyone among the young people is saved, Brother Little was. But I was not saved when I was in the religious world. Before any sinner can be saved, (get this!) that sin ner has to be brought out of the religious world! It taxes a miracle of Goa s grace to bring a sinner out of the religious world. Did you know that? Have you been brought out of the religious world? I have. Go into the multitude of our churches today and you realize immediately that Christ is not there! The preacher does not speak of Christ as a living reality to his heart. He speaks in the second or third person. He does not give any evidence that Christ is real to him. The next time you talk to your pastor, ask him if Christ is real to his heart. The LORD told Jeremiah He would not hear Isreal in their time of trouble. You’ve often heard of indi viduals calling on the Lord in their trouble. But you never heard them calling on Him before. Well, He won't hear you if you wait until trouble comes. PRAY NOT FOR THIS PEOPLE. ..Sponsored and paid for by The Prophet's Column, Inc., M28 Feldbank Dr., Charlotte, N.C. 28216. J. M.
