Henry Alexander III (left), was recently promoted to Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army. Alexander is a 1959 graduate of Second Ward High School. Sgt. Major Alexander, 42, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Alexander Jr. of 929 Druid Circle. The Army officer is married to Vivian Alexander (right). Presently stationed al Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C., the couple resides in Augusta, GA. ~ Mayfield Memorial Fellowship For many years, tile Mayfield Memorial Bap tist Church Fellowship hfc been the recipient of Tr Feast of Love and Thanks giving on the Sunday before Thanksgiving at 6 p.m. The feast is sponsored each year by Pastor and Mrs. H.S. Diggs, Shepherds of the Flock. A delicious meal of baked turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, string beans, candied yams, iced tea, rolls, butter and plain cake was served by the Eveready Hostess Commit tee of the church. Sally Robinson, Chair man. Special guests at this affair were medical doc tors who made up a panel who discussed Family Health. Doctors in at tendance were Dr. Rosamuel Dawkins, In ternist and Gastroenterolo gist; Dr. D. Dowdy, Intern ist and Cardiologist; Dr. Richardson, Internist and Gastroenterologist; Dr. Reeves, Ophthalmologist; Dr. Clement, Ophthalmolo gist; Olowofuyeky, Sur geon; and Dr. Ozim, Sur geon. About 200 persons quer ried the panel about things that pertained to their health and well-being. More than an hour was spent entertaining and re sponding to questions asked by the members. All who attended appeared to be gratified and satisfied as they expressed their thanks to Pastor and Mrs. Diggs and the team of doctors for making the af fair possible. The Thanksgiving festi vities were concluded on Wednesday evening at 7:30 when the annual Pre Thanksgiving service was held. The Adult Musical Choir led the congregation in the singing of Thanks giving songs; the Senior Ushers served as hosts; and the Thanksgiving mes sage was delivered by Pas tor Harold S.
