THE CHARLOTTE PORT • Thursday, March », im Hardy Is Finalist In “little Miss North America” Pageant By Tama Manan PaatMaaayiai KOw A B+ student at Chan tilly Elementary School, Tieaha Hardy waa recently accepted as a finalist in the Little Miss North Ame rica Pageant, the official preliminary to the National Little Mias North America Pageant to be bald in Or lando, FL, la November. The parents of Tieaha, Mary and Walter Hardy, sent in their daughter’s photo plus information about her. "We stated that her favorite television show is “The Flintstooes," that her ambition & to be come a nurse and a few of her favorite foods and that •toe Is very outgoing,” stated Mrs. Hardy. When asked why she wanted to became a nurse, Tiesha answered with a. serious expression: “...for God and for people.” At six years old she al ready enjoys reading about - dinosaurs. She enjoys play ing and running and is a member of the Brownie Scout Troop No. M. In order to participate in the little Miss North Ame rica Pageant, Tiesha needs only five or less sponsors to help her raise the $150 entry fee. Only the first M respondents will be ac The winner will receive $1,000 in cash plus other - _ Hardy - .B-Phw first grader prim. Tiesha is a member of Seigle Avenue Church of God where she sings on the Children’s Choir and is a member of the Sunday School. She is looking for ward to participating with young girls ages five to nine. Some of the main purposes of the pageant will be to help the young "ladles develop stage pre sence, poise and confi dence.
