"llie World By Wisdom Knew Not God”
wisdom is your thinking,
reasoning and intellectual
and educational ideas.
Salvation is in two parts;
knowing yourself first, and
then knowing Christ as
yo^r Lord and your Sa

thi Holy Spirit that a sin

himself as God knows him.
If you are never brought to
knfcw yourself, you will
neye^want to know and
longwer Christ. It is only
wljen the Holy Spirit
throws back the skylight of
your soul, letting you see
what a lost, guilty,
wretched, condemned cri
minal you are. And it is
thtre that you come face to
fa$e with the truth about
your lost and ruined con
diGon, and come to see
an(i know that you must get
to Christ or forever perish.
I wish that multitudes of

opened now to the truth
about your lost condition.

without warning. It was

convicted murderer’s
death just recently that
when he was dying there
came » surprising look on
his face. That surprising
look on his face was the
result of his seeing that he
was going down into an

nothing he could do about
it. Now you had better
think seriously on these

The multitudes of you are
trying to drown out all
thoughts of eternity and
what you will face there.
But you cannot drown it out
completely because God
said: “And it is appointed
unto men once to die, but
after this the judgment,’’

I attended a funeral re
cently. The preacher did
riot lay on the hearts of his
listeners the importance of
knowing Christ. We are
told in the Word of God:
Blessed are the dead who
die in the Lord. You are
either going to die in the
Lord, which means that
you are saved, or you are
going to die out of the Lord,
which means that you were
not saved. Which will it be
in your case? I’m glad and
thank the Lord that whe
ther I pass out of this world
by a natural death, or when
Christ comes, I’ll depart in
Christ. All because the
Lord saved me by His
grace apart from any
works or wisdom of my
own. I had no wisdom of my
own that would get me to
Christ. My so-called wis
dom was sinking me deep
er and deeper in sin. Let
me ask you this question:

And some glorious day
break soon, my Lord will
come. He is my hope, I
have no other. Just look
around you, look at the
mess the world is in.
There is nothing secure in

There is nothing secure in

I don't see how you live

FOR SPRING, THE LOOK IS SOFT
After the bleak Winter
months, we all look forward
to Spring with its promises of
newness. As much a part of
this seasonal cycle are the
Spring fashions. This time
around the emphasis is on
femininity, achieved through
clean lines and an elegant un
derstatement of color. Pales
and pastels, soft brights and
neutrals fill the fashion pages
and store windows.
In makeup this season, less
color is definitely more as the
perfect complement to the
easy, relaxed styles. The focus
is on smoky eyes emphasized
just enough as they peek flir
tatiously from beneath the
season’s most important fash
ion accessory—the wide
brimmed hat.
-To add drama to voiir eyes,
accent them with a black eye
lining pencil; Avon’s Ultra
Wear 12-Hour Eyelining Pen
cil is easy to use. Draw a thin
line and then smudge down to
a soft; shadowy accent. Off
set with paler cheeks and lips.
Light-handed applications of
your favorite blush and lip
colors will give you the sea
son’s look.... your way.
Theclean lines and pale col
orations of Spring’s fashions
are just right for jewelry with
a strong focus. “Black, white
and gold remain important ac
cents in accessories to pull to
gether major trends in Spring
apparel,” says award-win
ning Paris fashion designer,
Louis Feraud. Thus they are
the basis for Avon’s “Blos
som of Spring” jewelry col
lection inspired by Feraud.
1 he necklace is fashioned
with three goldtone leaves
and two white flowers sus
pended from a goldtone chain.
The earrings are a goldtoned
sculptured leaf.
The bold outlines of the
“Blossom of Spring” pieces
create the perfect balance for
the simple lines that will pre
dominate in fashions this
Spring. “Blossom of Spring”
jewelry is available only from
your Avon Representative.
