INVITATIONS FOR BIDS
The City of Charlotte will receive sealed bids for
Addition of Air-Conditioning to Children’s Theatre
until 10:00 A.M. (EST) on the 30th day of April, 1964,
in the office of the City-County Purchasing Di
rector.uty Hall Annex, WW E. mflfe Street,
Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204, at which time and
place all bids will be publicly opened and read
aloud.
Separate bids will be received for the following
work:
Air-Conditioning System Installation
Proposals must be on standard forms furnished by
the Architect and must be submitted In a sealed
envelope identifying the Contractor submitting the
proposal. The envelope must be clearly marked as
containing a proposal for a particular contract.
Proposal forms, plans, and specifications may be
obtained at the office of the Central Services
Division, 441 Beaumont Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28204
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Bidders are advised that this contract contains
provisions requiring the contractor! s) to document
that sufficient good faith efforts have been made to
provide equal opportunities for minority and
women enterprises to participate in the sub
contracting and material supplier opportunities
available under this contract.
Plans and specifications will be on file at the office
of the Architect, the office of the Central Ser
vices Division, 441 Beaumont Avenue, the local AGC
office and the Dodge Plan Room.
' All contractors are hereby notified that they must
have proper licenses under the State Laws govern
ing their respective trades at the time of sub
mittal of bids.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order
of the City of Charlotte, negotiable U.S. Govern
ment bonds (at par value), or satisfactory Bid Bond
excecuted by the Bidder and an acceptable surety,
in an amount equal to five percent (5 percent) of the
Bid shall be submitted with each bid for the General
Construction Work. Bid bond shall be retained if
successful bidder fails to execute the contract
