McDowell Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 28304,
at which time and place all bids will be publicly
opened and read aloud.
Bids are invited upon the several items and quan
tities of work as follows: .

Copies of the Contract Documents may be
obtained by paying $25.00 to the City of Charlotte for
each set of documents obtained.
A certified check Or bank draft, payable to the
order of the City of Charlotte, negotiable U.S.
Government bonds (at par value), or satisfactory
Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable
surety, in an amount equal to five per cent (5 per
cent) of the total bid shall be submitted with each
bid.
Attention is called to the Tact that not less than the
minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the
Contract Documents must be paid on this Project,
and that the contractor must ensure that employees
and applicants for employment are not

Attention is also called to the fact that federal
and-or state funds are partially funding this project.
The City of Charlotte reserves the right to reject

Central Carolina Legal Service*, Inc. (CCLS)
seeks a staff attorney for its main office in
Greensboro.
CCLS is a nonprofit legal services program that
operates within the confederation of Legal Services
of North Carolina. The main office provides legal
services in civil matters for low-income residents of
Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph and Rockingham
Counties. CCLS has a branch office In Lexington
which serves Davidson and Rowan Counties.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The staff attorney win
work under the supervision of an experienced
attorney. He-she wUl be responsible for handling a
regular caseload, co-counseling with other attor
neys, assisting in the developing and implementing
of community education efforts, working with
private attorneys through bar groups and CCLS’
Private Bar Involvement Projects, and assisting in
the on going legal efforts of CCLS.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be (a)
licensed to practice law in North Carolina or eligible
for admission by comity; and (b) sensitive to the
needs and concerns of low-income persons and
possess the ability to relate to persons of all
educational and economic backgrounds.

Central Carolina Legal Services, Inc. (CCLS)
seeks an Executive Director for the program.
CCLS is a nonprofit legal services program that
operates within the confederation of Legal Services
of North Carolina. Hie main office is in Greensboro
with a branch office in Lexington. The program
serves a six-county area in central North Carolina
with an eligible client population of 110,552. CCLS
has an annual budget in excess of $600,000 per year.
Its primary funding is from Legal Services of North
Carolina but it also receives substantial funding
from local United Ways and Piedmont Older
Americans Act The staff of 21 is made up of
attorneys, paralegals and support persons.
CCLS is governed by a 15-person Board of
Directors made up of local attorneys and client
eligible persons. It has an active Private Attorney
Involvement Plan, including both a compensated
and a pro bono component in each area it serves.
The Executive Director is in charge of all daily
operations of the program. In addition , the
Executive Director carries an active caseload.
. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. License to practice law
in North Carolina is preferred, although persons
eligible for admission by comity will be considered.
2. Minimum three years experience in the practice
of law: preference for experience in management
and financial matters. 3. Sensitive to the needs and
concerns of low-income persons and ability to relate
to persons of all educational and economic
backgrounds.
SALARY: $30,000+ depending on experience
