Livingstone College On “Miracle Marathon” Special ToTfcVPOSl Dr. Frederick Swan, Associate Professor of Political Science and Dr. Mitchell Harris, Assistant Professor of History at Livingstone College, are among twelve professors from colleges in the South east who have been awarded Joseph J. Malone Post-doctoral fellowships which include two weeks in Egypt in June in a special program sponsored by Duke University's Islamic and Arabian Development Studies Program. The participants are affiliated with the program as out reach college coordinators. Malone, a distinguished scholar of Arab affairs, who was a member of the Board of Advisors of the NatonaL Council and a frequent lecturer in Duke’s Outreach Program. Dr. Malone bequeathed his library to the Duke Center and the National Council has financed renovation of the Center’s offices for housing the collection.
