Hoover’s two daughters, 9 year old Shanta and 8 year old Tamika were keeping their father company as he sold produce out of his truck at the side of the road. The girls, who attend Hidden Valley Elementary School, both favor spring “because it’s sunny.” Walter Bellamy, who lives on LongdahMn CharlOtte.said winter 1b~ his favorite time of year. His reason? “I was born in October,” he replied, adding that he’s not at all sad to see summer go. Retired chef Henry Brooks of West Boulevard likes winter. “I like it best in this part of the country,” he commented, “because you can always add another layer of clothing to help you keep warm, but if you’re too hot, there’s not much you can do.” Shanta * Tamika Hoover Ratfc MMahril a GarvisDriiar resident who works . for an auto insurance company, prefers fall. "It’s more comfortable,” she explained. “Your clothes are easier to work with. It’s not too hot or too cool.” A&P deli worker Natalie Brown hates to see summer go.
