Barber-Scotia And WPEG To Sponsor Concord Festival Concordia ns are gearing up for one of Concord’s finest fall festivals. Tlie “Festival On The Green’’ will be held on Saturday, October 13, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., on the Barber Scotia College campus quadrangle. The event, sponsored by Barber Scotia College and WPEG-FM 98, is expected to draw people from the surrounding communities. The “Festival On The Green” is h potpourri of exhibits and sales, arts and crafts, foods, entertainment, games, and other forms of planned activities that are free and open to the public. Festival goers should definitely look forward to the center stage entertainment program which will offer jazz, gospel, folk, rhythm and blues, and other music. Clogging and modern dance will also be featured. The youngsters will find added attraction in clowns, games and prizes along with face painting. There will be plenty of ballons and other delights for the young at heart. Bordering the festival quadrangle will be exhibits of paintings, art and crafts and photography. Community human Service groups and agencies will have booths at the festival to distribute information, perform various demonstrations, and avail themselves for questions.
