Pmphe&Colunm J. M. Little ' You even go to your synagogue without think ing about -Him. Your thoughts are on wordly things you plan for the next week. You don’t go there praising the Lord for sav ing a hell-deserving sinner like you. Get this; '‘the soul who has never seem him self as a hell-deserving sinner is not saved!” Meet the multitudes of today anywhere and there is scarcely a word about the Lord. When you do hear the name of Christ or God mentioned, it is linked with profanity and vulgarity. So, we are living in a generation that is cursed. The evidence of that is that you don’t meditate on Him. You cannot meditate on the Lord, thanking Him for saving such a wicked sin ner as you are, and then go out and drag His name in the muck and mire. His name is precious to all redeemedsouls. Is it pre cious to you’TFIs to me. There is only a thin cob web of mercy bolding every cursed soul out of Hell. In just the last few minutes that thin cord has been cut many times over and cursed souls have plunged into eternity with .out Christ. They cannot come Hack' from Hell'to warn you. I’m, warning ■Sfunily Dollar Reports Record Sales And Earnings fiscal 1984 were particular ly impressive as they follow a 27 percent sales gain and 47 percent earn ings increase in the prim fiscal year. The results in ' fiscal 1984 produced a net return on sales of 6.9 per cent and shareholders’ return on average equity of 29.3 percent. you, but you will not have it. One day soon you, too, shall depart this life. Friends, oh, my friends! If you depart this life as you came in, then it can be said of you as it was said of Judas: “it had been better for that man that he had not been bom.” Your never dying soul is not to be played with. You will spend eternity in either Heaven or Hell. How can you trifle with your eternal welfare? I would that mul titudes of you could get your eyes opened to your lost condition. If you did, it would scare you to death. But you are going to be awakened to your lost con dition here or there in eternity. There is mercy now if you’ll turn to Christ in repentence. When a lost soul wakes up in Hell it wishes it could get back on the earth for an other chance. We saw that in the case of the ncn man there in Luke 16. He died a cursed man and lifted up his eyes in Hell, torment ed in the flame. You can be foolish and call that story a parable if-y©u-wanH*v when you die you won’t call it a parable. God’s Hell is ' juSt is real as God’s Hea ven. I make no apology to any man for the truth I have been declaring for over twelve years since God saved me. I know what it means to be lost and •darahrad I friwyif it means to be delivered by the power and blood of Christ. Once I was de ceived and blinded as the multitudes are. My heart had departed from the Lord. I know the condition ■; of every blinded soul. I , weep for you. There is no deception like religious de ception. Our religious folks are the most blinded in the world. If you knew Christ, I could find fellowship in Him with you. A young man here can’t rest with out slandering me. His heart is running over with hatred. He is miserable V everywhere he goes. I would not be in that man's place for ten million worlds. A curse rests upon you. Anathamar marana thama! The lost will never know the folly of fighting the Lord and His people until they lie in the dust. There is no hope after death for you when you die lost. Which way will you die? “Blessecfare the dead who die in the Lord.’’ Will that be you? The cursed soul who lived under the truth will endure the great est punishment in Hell. These proud, religious wo men in my family will re ceive a greater damnation in Hell than the harlots down on Trade Street. It’s an awful thing to live de+ ceived, and worst of all to die deceived. You spurn the Gospel now, but then you’ll look back and wish you could get back on the earth for another chance. About ten years ago, or more, I was speaking in a certain church, a Bible teacher there rebelled against the message and closed her Bible. She is looking bac|c now in regret. Will that be you? I plead with you not to go that way. Turn to the Lord now while there is still hope. Father, mother, , brother, friend, preacher, will you turn to Christ? , I invite you to continue listening to my late Pastoii, L.R. Shelton, with THE1 VOICE OF TRUTH eacft 'Sunday morning ' at '7:3# over WAGI-FM and over WAGL-AM at 8:00. Maj you turn to the Lord. _ <U -dtwt, W «v*a >iorjt Pwm Can Give You The Best Deal On A New Or Used Car For That Perfect Loved One.
