Mrs. George Massey Fulwood .She was Miss Cindy Scott Miss Cindy Scott Weds George Massey Fulwood On Saturday afternoon, Decem ber 1, in an impressive candle light ceremony in a holiday setting of red poinsettias and greenery, Miss Cindy Elizabeth Scott and George Massey Fulwood exchanged their marriage vowsr The Rev. S. L. Fulwood, father of the groom, and the Rev. W. D. Bailey, the bride’s pastor, officiated— at the two o’clock ceremony at Memorial Presbyterian Church on Beatties Ford Road. • Preceding the ceremony, pre nuptial music was played by The adore Avery, organist, and Robert H. Leak sang, “We’ve Only Just Begun.” The bride, the daughter of Mrs. Bobbie M. Scott, was given in marriage by her uncle, George L. Mickles of Far Rockavray, N.Y. She was radiant in a gopp of white organza and lace. Tte gown fea tured a modified empire waist- "j line, a high neckline, and long sleeves with soft fullness tapering into points at the wrist. The lace bodice was accented with seed pearls and lace appliques adorned the full skirt which extended into a chapel train. Her fingertip veil of illusion fell gracefully from a camelot cap of seed pearls and lace. She carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations, red rosebuds and baby’s breath. Miss Karen L. Scott, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Mrs. Patricia C. Harris was ma tron of honor. Bridesmaids were Misses Penelope E. Scott, and Julie A. Scott, sisters of the bride; Mrs. Kathy H. Wilson. Ms. Michelle Er win, and Mrs. I. Lorraine M. Poin dexter, cousin of the groom from Alexandria, Va. The bridal atten dants wore identical gowns of red satin with puffed sleeves and scalloped necklines. The gowns were highlighted by embroidered bodices, ruffled accents at the shoulder, and flattering A-line skirts. They wore short, white lace gloves and each carried a single long-stemmed white rosebud ac cented with baby’s breath and red and white ribbons. Sprigs of baby’s breath adorned their hair. Little Miss Nicole Elizabeth Scott was the flower girl. She wore a red satin long dress of the same styling as the bridesmaids She carried a white basket filled with red and white flowers ^am L. Fulwood III of Baltimore, Md„ was his brother’s best man. The groomsmen were Rudolph M. Harrison, S. Leon Brooks, Wayne T. Strong. Eugene J. Stitt, Jonathan P. Belton, and William E. White. For her daughter s wedding, Mrs. Scott chose a floor-length skirt of red velvet and a white satin blouse with long, full sleeves and a self-tie bow et the beck neckline. A diamond shaped applique elegantly accented the front neckline. She wore a dou ble white carnation corsage with rod and white ribbons. Mrs. Fulwood, mother of the groom, chose for her son’s wedding a Street-length dress of red creoe featuring a semi circular full skirt and a fully .beaded bodice with wrist length full sleeves. She wore a double white carnation corsage with red and white rtbbons Among the guests from out of town were: Mrs Annie Bell Lyttle, of the bride, from Far M.Y.; Mr. Paul D. Brown, the bride’s godfather, from Lawrence, N.Y. , Mrs. Ida Morgan, the groom’s aunt, from Monroe, N.C.; Bernard P. Poindexter and Bernard Jr. from Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Sam L. Fulwood III, sister-in-law of the groom, from Baltimore, Md. Following the wedding ceremony, -a reception aim hold at thg Best Western-Downtown. The hostesses at the reception were Mrs. Rose Belk, Ms. Valerie Singleton, and Mrs. Wilma Belton. They wore identical gowns of royal blue satin and single white carnation corsages. The wedding consultant was Mrs. Barbara P. Hendricks and the re ception was catered by Yeager Enterprises with all floral ar rangements by Alice’s Wonderland of Flowers. After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Fulwood will live in Charlotte. Renee Alexander and Michael Jerome Carlton were recently united in holy matrimony. The wedding, which took place at St. Paul Baptist Church, was officiated by Rev. Paul Drummond. Michelle Edgerton and Howard Davenport, the groom’s brother, were the maid of honor and the best man, respectively. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Paul, the bride is a graduate of Olympic High School and A&T State University. She also attended Central Piedmont Community College. She is employed with TJ Maxx in Atlanta, Ga., In the processingdepartment. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Carlton of Wilkesboro. He graduated from Wilkesboro Senior High School and UNC-Charlotte. He also attended Appalachian State University and is a member of Omega Psi Fra ternity. Immediately following the wedding, a reception was held at the bride’s home, 9024 Windson Dr. The couple will reside in Atlanta, Ga.
