Fashions, commented,
“For this summer the loud
neon colors will be trend
for teem and young wo
men. These are the teds for
this year. Fads,” she ex
plained, “are styles that
only stay in for one season
per year and change to
something different the
next year.” ,
Even though the fads will
display the neon colors, the
tpore conservative look
will be brightened as a
result of the new explosion
in colors as welLf?

woman will be very color
ful this summer, but with
more of bold pastel co

choose and the quality of
the outfits are Ugh on our

is looking for something

Far teens and the young
adult fads may be more
acceptable because they
are not subject to stay in

change to a new look quite

ions which have touched
the hearts of many young
and oUt hi the 1960a, for
instance, the high
pants, straight legged
jeans and mini skirts were
the “in” fashions. Today,
in the mid-1960s less than a

same fashion styles are
again popular.

designers are getting more
into reviving old fashion.
The older fashion appeal
to the more mature age
group because they are al
ready familiar with them,
and for the younger people
it’s something new and
different” She continued,
"This puts a hamper on

originality, but allows
more room for creativity.”
Most people are not con
fined to one set style. Just
look around you at the
malls, for instance. You
can see fashions ranging
from the Cindy Lauper look
to the extreme conserva
tive attire. In the mid
1980s there is a much freer
attitude concerning fash
ions.
Ms. Davis advises the fol
lowing: “It is wise to
choose fashions on an indi
vidual basis. One, accord
ing to styles and colors that
suit you; two, styles that
make you look good; and,
three, styles that make you
feel comfortable.”
