J. M. Little First in series 'CL '-'" ’ ? was that our preachers don't know what it means ’ to be a lost sinner. Also, I asked him what he knew about a hard heart of un belief. He knew nothing about what I was talking about.__ He, also, invited me down to his church. The next day I wrote him a note and told him; "I noted that your people have a great zeal but not according to knowledge.” The word ’ “zeal” means; eager de sire or effort, or earnest enthusiasm. While there in his church people were shouting “Amens” be fore he could get the words out. Many were waving their hands in approval and you couldn’t hear the preacher sometimes be ■cause the folks were drowning him out with their responses. All that is just wildfire religion. The preacher could have been cursing them and they wouldn’t know it. That wildfire religion is spread ing across the country and around the world as never before. Now, it’s true they have a great zeal, but as Paul said of the Jews; it’s not- according to- know ledge. What knowledge? The knowledge that you are a lost, guilty sinnef and Christ, alone, can be your salvation. No jumping up e * shouting and knocking over benches is salvation. That is the work of the Devil. Not one soul there in all the churches I was in knew anything about being a lost sinner under Holy Spirit conviction. They said they were saved. But they never have been awakened to their lost condition! Before any sinner can be saved, he has to be awak ened to his lost condition. In Eph. 2:1, Paul said, “And you hath He quick ened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” The word “quickened” means made alive, or awakened. Fm convinced without-the shadow of a doubt that 99.9 percent, or more, of our church members, includ ing preachers, have never been awakened to the fact of their lost condition. I invite you to continue listening to my late Pastor, L.R. Shelton, with THE VOICE OF TRUTH over WAGI FM at 7:30 and over WAGL at 8:00 each Sunday morning. DID YOU JUST MOVE TO TOWN?
