Atlanta,'- Ga. - Anheuser-Busch,
Inc., the world’s largest brewer, has
announced the promotion of Dinla
Johnson as area sales mmmgifr fa
Georgia and parts of Mississippi,
the announcem ent was made by
James I. Hunter III, region sates
manager for Anheuser-Busch, Inc.,
in the Southeast.
Johnson previously served as area
sales manager far four years, in
North Carolina, South Carolina, and
Tennessee. \ ,%.f
Her promotion to the company’s
Atlanta division office places her in
critical major markets where she
will be responsible for coordinating
sates and marketing management
for Anheuser-Busch beer products
and for community rotations pro
grams. The Atlanta division office is
headed by Robert J. Walsdorf, divi
sion manager. Ahhedeer-Busch is
the lawyer of Budweiser, Bud Light,
Michetob, Michelob Light. Natural
Light, Busch and KingCobra Pre
mium Malt Liquor. ’
Johnson began her career with the
then moved on to Serve as project
marketing team supervisor in Hou
ston, Odcago, and Detroit
As area sales manager in the
Cardinas and Tennessee, Johnson
supervised the test marketing of the
company's malt liquor beverage in
five cities. \ .’
She spearheaded the creation of
Bunin’ Buds Suds; a grassroots
, marketing program which began in
Chattanooga. Tenn., with Beasley
Distributing and became one of the
company’s key national sales pro
motion programs.
She was voted the most oustending
area sales manager for the South
east for two years, Receiving the
coveted Anheuser-Bosck Accent on.
Excellence Award.
She has also received a number of i
other awards for her community
involvement activities. This in
cludes national awards such as the_
1963 Outstanding Young Women of
America Award, and In 1961. she
received the New York YMCA
Blacks In Industry Award. , ,
Johnson is a member of two major
national black women’s orgaoiza-..
tions, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority
and The Drifters.
A twin, she was born in Longview,
Texas, and raised in Dallas. She will
reside in Atlanta.
