tH3VI!5v'X'-’VfTfV.*'” ) .* -i-# . Prophet's Column The Gospel" By J. M. Little Special To The Post Let me ny In the begin ning I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. The Gospel is the power of God unto my salvation, (Rom. 1:U). I don't know about you, but Christ is my sal vation. Is He yours? Then if you are saved, why can’t I find fellowship with you in Christ? Why are you em barrassed to have me drop in at' your church? Why won’t you have the mes sages in your church if you are saved? Why don’t you have the messages of my late pastor, L. R. Shelton? If you knew Christ, you’d know me and the mes sages and you would love us both. Friend, you are in a most tragical state, blinded by religion and on the road to Hell. The greatest enemy of the Gospel is a soul on a religious profession with out Christ, usuallv a preacher or teacher. Every man in the pulpit on a religious profession with out Christ is an enemy of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you reject the message from a certain servant of the Lord, you reject the servant, also. God, His message, and ser vant rise together, the three are inseparable. You hate one, you hate all three. Your attitude to ward a God-sent message is a revelation of your spiritual condition. I watch the attitude of a preacher toward God’s servants and especially the messages God’s servants bring. Show me a preacher who will criticize and kick the mes sages out of his church, and I’ll show you a preacher who is an enemy of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. I’m drawing the line of demarcation! You either know the Lord or you don’t know him, preacher. And if you hate the mes sages by God’s servants, and you do, that is the concrete sign you are not saved. I don’t care how long you have, been pas toring. You are an enemy of jhe-soula ai men. When, you wake up in Hell you’ll receive a greater damn ation than your church members whom you led to Hell. So many are in the ministry just to make a \ good living. The outstand ing work of an enemy in the pulpit is that he does not know what to do with an awakened sinner. The rea son you do not want these Gospel messages in print in your church is because your members would be come disturbed and awak ened if they read them. And if there were awakened sinners in your church, you would not know what to do with them. Preachers here are angry with me because I've been disturb ing their church folks, so they say. Well, am I guilty? Well, I just praise the Lord for every sinner who is disturbed or awak ened. Those sinners, in cluding you, must be awak ened to their lost condi tion, (Eph. 2:1, 2 Cor. 4), . before they can be saved. But that's strange lan guage to you and you hate me for disturbing your folks. Right here in the city of Charlotte, some years ago, a man who was a bus driver had been listening to my late pas tor, L. R. Shelton, over the radio. He came under conviction and went to his pastor, who is a renowned preacher, pastor of one of the greatest Baptist churches in this state. He told his pastor he was lost. And Ms pastor quickly re ■for my ped the « to er the • been oul get y testi tony of of the misr J. M. Little MURDERER! You will not enter the Kingdom yourself and you are keeping others out. Now that pastor of a. prestige church who stopped that man from lis tening to Brother Shelton will receive one of the hottest places in Hell. He’s preaching a false gospel. What a tragedy! I’ve never met such lying dogs as we have in the ministry today. A man in the world will be more honest with you than most of the devils in the pulpits of America. It is so sickening to sit with these preachers and religious leaders and they talk to me about everything but Christ. I’ve crisscrossed the state recently speaking in many different churches and not one preacher has talked to me about how Christ is a living reality to his heart. You can get mad and say I’m crazy all you want to, when you lie on your dying pillow you’ll look back in regret but too late. Every soul out of Christ on a religious pro fession is an enemy of the Gospel. If you knew Christ I could find fellowship in Him with you, Now, I’ll go ■ aBywhore someone wante to talk about Christ. Over the years I’ve been holding you to one thing: YOU MUST COME TO KNOW CHRIST AS YOUR LORD • V'iw fi; *,i v . + 1993 MAZDA 434: 4 dr lux., auto. And another companion truth: BEFORE YOU CAN BE SAVED, YOU MUST BE AWAKENED TO THE FACT YOU ARE A LOST SINNER! I'll stake my hope of Heaven on those two truths. Will you? Will - you? Do you know Christ? You cannot know Christ and hate me nor my late pastor. Some of you prachers have such hatred in your hearts for both. I pity you. But for the dis tinguishing grace of God I’d be in your place, preacher. I weep for you. It will be an awful day when you wake up in Hell. I’m going to tell you something else as food for thought; your church members, the ones you lied to and led to Hell, in Hell they are going to beat the tar out of you for leading them to Hell. Now if you disagree with me on that, write me this next week and we’ll get together and talk about it. May the God of all grace send an awakening to your heart, especially to YOU.
