This production is being brought to Charlotte , by Wada Productions. For those of you who aren't aware, Steele Pulse is one of the hottest bands in the country. The Bir mingham, England, reg gae band is known through out Japan, Africa, and North and South America. They made their debut album for Elektra Records In IB. "True Democracy,'* as Tha- a 1 bum was titled became the band’s most critically-acclaimed and that selling LP as well as tie most successful reg gae album of the year. “Earth Crisis,” their la test endeavor, carries on the artistic and commer ced strides made by “True Democracy.” The album was recorded digitally, creatively uses synthe sizers and is filled with songs with lyrics that ob serve modern struggles - political, social, econo mic. ecologie, romantic, and spiritual. Steele Pulse came to gether as a band in 1975. David Hinds, Sewlyn Brown, Steve Nesbitt, Basil Gabbidon, and Ronnie McQueen got the idea of forming a band after hear ing Bob Marley’s “Catch A Fire” album Sunday re hearsals, and doing cover versions of other groups’ music lasted for awhile and then in *76, Steele Pulse began developing their ori ginal repertoire. They recorded'three al bums for Island Records, "Handworth Revolution,” “Tribute to The Martyrs’,” and “Reggae Fever,” be fore signing with Elektra Records in ’81. Behind the message in their Steele Pulse has one other message they want to get across to listeners and that is: “It’s all right to think and dance at the North Carolina HIGHWAY SAFETY INDEX Thru October 7, 1985 Fatalities to (late 1986 . 1,131 Fatalities wearing seat belts.44 Seat belt survival index......... 97% Fatalities to date 1984 . 1,074 Fatalities wearing seat belts... 22 Total Fatalities 1984.1,448 Fatalities wearing seat belts.31 Source. iVxlHam Hiatt Commissioner, Motor Vehicles WITH LOKfclTA MANX GO 1 Loretta same time."
