Prophet's Column liwme Out From Among Tliem By J.M. Little Special To The Po«t I hope that you listened to those messages by my late pastor. L.R. Shelton, over WAGI hnd WAGL on Christmas: A Demon Holi day That is all Christmas is, just a demon or pagan holiday. All through the Word of God you’ll find that God calls on His people to live a separated life. Every born-again believer lives a separated life. Several years ago a woman, who claims to be a Christan said to me.after a church ■ service: “I know some - people who are Christians but they still celebrate Christmas.” When she said • that it hit me like a ton of bricks. God hates sin, all sin -- not just certain sins. A report came to me some • years ago that a man wrote j.another man a letter and told him boldly: “...for four years I’ve been going with your wife, sleeping in your house, in your bed, with your wife." Now, that is physical adultery between a man and woman. God hates the sin of adultery. If a man or woman of God, a true born-again believer would try something like that, the Lord would kill that believer. vjtvu me noiy spirit indwells in every born-again believer. It is He who calls it to our attention and warns us against sinning against our God. Alright, hold your seats! Just as the Holy Spirit teaches the believer that going with another man’s wife is adultery, don’t you know that the same blessed Holy Spirit teaches His people that Christmas is idolatry? The. Holy Spirit is omniscient. So, when you tell me that you know people who are Christians but they still celebrate Christmas, you are telling me that you believe a person can be saved and live in adultery. Spiritual adultery is just as sinful before God as physical adultery. Let me say this: there are only a few people who believe God’s Word. Of coarse,' that woman who ■•pot her ’stainyuf approval ;• on those continuing in Christmas has nothing at all to do with me. The Lord would not have me believe a false profession. God knows your heart. “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty,” * (II Cor. 6:17-18). God com mands His children to walk and live a separated life from the world. Every son and daughter of my heavenly Father lives a J. M. Little separated me and each one is a'"marked” person. You know there is something about us that you don’t understand and cannot figure out. There always has been and always will be a great amount of friction between the Devil’s child ren and the children of God. There is no agree ment between the temple of God and idols. Before you will ever be saved, if you ever are to be saved, you are going to "come out from among them.” There has to come the separation before you can know Christ as your Lord and your Saviour. When the Holy Spirit awak ens a sinner to his lost condition, it is the most surprising thing that ever happened to him. But then the Holy Spirit begins to open your eyes and lets you see just how wrong you were in your religious life and duties. Before, you thought you could do something to work your way to Heaven. The average church profession is built on works and feelings. You thought that because you conformed to certain rules and practices that you could make it into ‘The EThgcrom.' ' as a lost sinner under Holy Spirit conviction you come face to face with the fact you are a lost, guilty, totally depraved, hell deserving sinner, and you are totally helpless to do one thing to save yourself. If you have never seen that, my friends, I’ll tell you on the authority of God’s Word that you are still lost and on the road to Hell without warning. No sinner has ever been saved apart from Holy Spirit conviction,' (Jn. 16:7-11), and neither will you. Holy Spirit conviction separates the sinner from the religious world. When God begins to deal with your heart for salvation, drawing you out unto Himself, everyone around you thinks you are crazy. Why? They have never been through Holy Spirit conviction. Practically 100 percent of our preachers and Bible teachers have gone through the Bible schools and seminaries and have missed Holy Spirit conviction. That’s the reason you don’t understand me or my messages. You are preaching and teaching in the energy of the flesh as I did for years. Looking back over those years, I’d teach the Bible class diligently. But Christ was not a living reality to my heart. I knew something was missing I knew I had no depth or solid foundation. I wfjnt for years trying to * get everything I could out of the services and embraced every major religion of. the world I got my hands on, but none of them satisfied or filled the emptiness in my heart.
