Tournament Coach of the Year in 1971, will have three top
assistants. Five of Emery’s 12 cagers are from the

p.m. to open their I960 campaign in
Brayboy Gymnasium.
The Bulls will carry a 0-0 division
mark, a 1-4 CIAA, and a 3-5 overall
mark in the game.
They are coming off a well-played
80-71 shellacking of St. Paul’s on the
outstanding play of Dante Johnson
who scored 19 points and 13 rebounds
and Jeff Erwin who scored 23 points.
Vincent Brown added 14 points and a
season high 10 assists. James
Shockley hit four of five from the
field for 18 points.
Two Bulls are chasing All CIAA
honors.
Dante Johnson is averaging 19.8
points per game, 9.7 rebounds per
game, shooting, .500 from the field,
.745 from the line, and stealing 1.8
passes per game.
Vincent Brown is averaging 17.7,
5.3 assists, 1.2 steals, shooting .727
from the line. He is also the league’s
best three-point shooter with .888
percent on eight made and nine
attempted.
Reggie Moses is shooting .531 from
the field to lead the team.
The Bulls are averaging 82.8
points per game, shooting 463 per
cent from the field, .713 percent
from the line. They are averaging
38.3 rebounds per game.

Mighty Mites who scored 11 touch
downs this season while leading his
team to a 6-2 record. He was the
teams most valuable player.
In one game against North Meck
lenburg, he scored four touchdowns
in leading his team to a 45-12 win.
Against Starclaire in an 18-0 win, he
scored three touchdowns, one of
which was a 95-yard scamper.
He ran for over 1,000 yards from
his quarterback position this sea
son. Ritchie is a fifth grader at
Statesville Road Elementary.
His brother, Melvin, played for the
Pee Wees who were 10-1 and lost in
the playoffs. He played linebacker
and tailback with his longest run
