INVITATION FOR BIDS
ADVERTISEMENT, BIDS WANTED: Sealed
proposals will be received by the Purchasing
Director of the City of Charlotte, N.C., in the
Purchasing Department, City Hall Annex Building,
until 10:00 a m. o'clock on: April 23, 1906 at which
time they will be publicly opened and read for the
following: Greenville Neighborhood Center
Gymnasium Air Conditioning. Proposal forms and
specifications may be obtained at the office of the
City Central Services Superintendent, 441
Beaumont Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina 28204.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit
equal to 3 percent of the gross price bid. The right is
reserved to reject any or all proposals Plans and
specifications will be on file at the office of the
Architect, the local AGC office and the Dodge Plan
Room. Bidders are advised that this contract
contains provisions requiring the contractor to
document that sufficient good faith efforts have
been made to provide equal opportunities for
minority and women business enterprises to
participate in the subcontracting and material
supplier opportunities available under this
contract.
All contractors are hereby notified that they must
have proper licensee under the State Laws
governing their respective trades at the time of
submittal of bids.
Attention is called to the fact that not less that the
minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the
contract documents must be paid on this project,
and that the contractor must snsurs that employees
and applicants for employment are not
discriminated against because of their race, color,

Sealed Bids for the construction of the 54" Feeder
Main Project will be received by the City of
Charlotte in the 2nd floor conference room at the
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utility Department; 5100
Brookshire Boulevard, Charlotte, N.C., until 2 00
pm. local time, May 8, 1986, at which time all Bids
will be publicly opened and read aloud,
The 54-inch Feeder Main will be bid and constructed
under three (3) separate unit price contracts.
Contract A Includes approximately 12,400 L.F of
54-inch pipe, Contract B Includes approximately
9,900 L,F. of 54-lnch pipe, and Contract C Includes
approximately 11,800 L.F. of 54-inch pipe Each
Contract will Include furnishing all equipment,
labor, and materiala required to construct major
items of work plus miscellaneous work necessary to
make the project complete in accordance with the
Contract Documents for the project.
