VIEW FROM THE PULPIT The Views Expressed In This Article Are Hie • v/.™',... Opinions Of The Writer, '. Read, Obey And Be Blessed By Pastor E.C. Cannon Cannon's Cathedral COGIC “He shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed!" As we think about the world we live in, there are many people filled with jealousy and deceit. It behooves us to pray the more, "Even so come Lord Jesus," (Rev. 22:20). Look at the rebellious spirit among the church world. They have lost respect for God’s prophet. It is a trick of the enemy. Satan knows if you will obey God’s servant you’ll be blessed. So to prevent you, he tricks you into believing that every one is alike. Hiat God gives everyone what He gives the pastor. Satan helped Adam’s and Eve’s eyes “pen with such a lie and we have to suffer the consequences. (Get your Bible and read Gen. 3:1-24, I Chron 21:1, Job 1:9-12,2:7, Zech. 3:1, Matt. 4:3 and 13:1#.) ii it important for you to read each scripture given to fully understand this message. (King James Version.) “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but God’s Word shall stand!” (Matt. 13:90, Luke 9:42, John 8:44, 13:2; Acts 4:1-11.) Satan will have you lie to God’s servant about your tithes and offerings. Many men and women get together as Ananias and Sapphire did about thei’r money. They pre ferred to do wrong than to obey God and be blessed. Yet you wander why things are not going right Although you’ve been warned often, you refuse to obey. You prefer listening to outside advice than to listen to your leader. To help lead you astray Satan will show you a vast fnulti tude that are liars, deceitful and covetous. They profess to be born again but the devil is a liar! (I John 2:15-17, Matt. 16:26, Luke 21:34, Ti 2:12, James 4:4.) I you know disobedience is also a sin? It is as the sin of witch ' *"Tv.■/!*•'• ‘ K*. E.C. Cannon, Presiding Elder craft. (I Sam. 12:15, 15:22-24, Deut. 11:28, IIThess. 1:8, Heb. 2:2-3, James 2:10.) OSSl Where is the love of God for your brothers and sisters? Proof that we ‘ / have “passed from death unto life" is that we love one another! (I John 3:14.) All who have become mem bers of the same spiritual body ought to love one another. Such love comes from life and it flows spontaneously. After a person answers affirmatively in a church service that he’s a Christian - he ought to love all other Christians True discipleship, genuine service and love for God are proven by our brotherly love. (John 13:35, 21:16, I Cor. 13:1-13,1 John 4:20.) When we let Christ be the center of attraction there will be no divi sions in the church. As long as we are fighting for positions and one is trying to be on top of another - there will always be fighting. Read these scriptures, come up to them and we will have peace in the church. (Rom. 12:0-10, 16:17,1 Cdr. 12:25.) My hope and prayer is that you will be stronger in the Lord. Become more faithful to the Lord’s services. God needs our bodies to carry on His earthly work. For all of you l am praying. Please, feel free to write or visit me whenever my services are needed.
