Since this is a new year for An
other Wortd's staff, don't be sur
prised if the parking lots have to
be expanded to accommodate '8Ts
many guests, because after the
staff party, it's a sure bet that'eve
ryone will be working a little bit
harder.

Diannia Jones celebrated her
day of birth recently in a rolling
manner, literally. With Odell
Robinson, Jr. acting as chauf
feur, the party made several stops
along its rollicking journey. The
Midway Lounge, Another World,
and The Gold Room were the oas
es. They were the detached water
holes that gushed merriment like
the falls of Niagra.
A number of well-wishers rode
this fun-filled trek that ended at
Diannia Jone’s apartment in the
wee hours of the morning. Some
of the celebrants were: Ben Wor
thy, Kevin Pate, R. M. Foster,
Kymn Barnett, Patricia Davis,
Karen Hawkins, Debbie Kendall,
Anthony Smith, Gwendolyn Ro
binson, Johnny Jennings, Olga
Watkins, Betty Leggett, Phil
Hatchett, Jamie Boswell, Ray
mond Lee, Andre Frazier, Kesha
Jones, Jose Kendall, Quintiii
Jones, Jaquilla Hawldns, Car
well Payton, Pat Moody, and Kim
Porter.
It will be difficult for Diannia to
repeat, next year, a birthday fete
like the one this year. However,
•he has 364 days to work on it.

The Excelsior Club is taking on
some new looks that will be dis
cussed at length in a later artide.
One thing that's not new though,
; and has been and is still a strong,
viable part of Excelsior’s pro
gram, is its Tuesday night fish
fry.
Betty Henderson, Earline
Wright, Barbara Page, Maria
Macon, Roslyn Macon Burton,
Ronald Macon from Flint, MI,
and Troy and Laverne Macon
were just a few of the many people
who enjoyed Freddie Gillespie's'
succulent fish and trimmings,
along with other amenities of
fered by the Excelsior Club.
The Feathered Friends have
garnered the Excelsior Club for a
social event tfeat should make
Friday night one to cherish.
The fiin will begin at 8 pan. and
end probably at the ninth hour,
fipiratively speaking, of course.
Finger dishes will be served and
the best of a variety of soul music
win be played.
