March 2. 1989 - THE CHARLOTTE POST - Page 8B WEDDINGS& ENGAGEMENTS Wright And Alexander Unite Becky Lorraine Wright and Stanley Craig Alexander were united in marriage on Saturday, February 25 at Second Calvary Baptist Church, Columbia, S.C. The 4 p.m. ceremony was offi ciated by Dr. Latta R Thomas. Becky is the daughter of re tired sergeant major Fred Wright and Hazel Wri^t of Co lumbia. Stanley is the son of Charlotte Alexander and James F. Alexander. The bride was given in marri age by her father. She wore a long, regal white satin bridal gown. The beauti fully fitted bodice tapered to a slimming basque waistline. The bodice was embellished with French Imported re embroidered alencon lace, en crusted with lavish patterns of hand sewn seed pearls and Irl- descents. A jewelled mandarin lace collar enhanced the plung ing marquisette back which was edged with scalloped lace and enclosed with satin covered bri dal buttons and loops. The long fitted slaves, taper ing from poufs at the shoulders to satin wrist points, were ac cented with a row of bridal but tons and adorned with an Insert of window pane alencon lace. The slightly gathered full skirt held an attached cathedral length train. The headpiece was made of Venice lace, detailed with a pearl and iridescent braid and a spirals of lUlies and pearls. The maid of honor was An nette Wright and matron of hon or was Angela Vereen. The bridesmaids were: Cherjd Alexander, Irby Groforth, Max ine Goodwin, Cheryl Littlejohn, Pamela Reid, Rosalind Reid, Donna Siler and Winifred R Wil liams. Dorothy White Gaddy White And Gaddy Wedding Dorothy Cousar White and George Ray Gaddy were recently united in marriage at the United House of Prayer with Elder Je rald F. White officiating. The bride is the daughter of Samuel Herron, Jr., and Thelma Cousar. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Gaddy. The matron of honor was Shir ley Johnson and the maid of hoiM>r was Kathleen Osborne. The bridesmaids were: Tangela White, Demeatress White, WU- lette Blakeney, Majorie Gaddy, Doris Lee, LlUle Gaddy, Sandra Webber, Elouise Ferguson and Junior bridesmaid Lekelsha Neely. Erica White and Jennifer Young were the llowerglris. The best men were Charles Wall and Zack Little. The groomsmen included: Joseph Young, Richard Polk, Stevie Gaddy, Lloyd Gaddy, Charlie Douglass, Rx)sevelt Bell, Wally Webber, Kenny Moore and Jun ior groomsman Shatarle McCUnton. The ringbearer was Jearld White, Jr. A reception was held in the so cial hall Immediately following the ceremony. Dorothy and Samuel graduate West Charlotte Senior High School and CPCC. She is em ployed by Presbyterian Home Care as a home health aide and he is presently employed by the N. C. State Motes' Club. The ushers were: Willie Baines, Duncan Jackson, Ken neth Moore, Carlton O'Neil. Da- ryle Vereen, Ronald Ramsey, Corey Smith, Charles Williams and Fred Wrl^t Master Ronald Buchanan was the ring bearer. Music was provided by Dr. Ro nald Hlcolt and soloist Lisa Cunningham and Eddie Jack- son. The reception was held at Fort Bragg's NCO Club. The couple will take a wedding trip to Jamaica for a week and they will reside in Charlotte. Becl^ attended the University of South Carolina and she is employed ly the N. C. Juvenile Services Division as a court counselor.
