Reid Named Martin Camp Manager Dewitt Reid, vice president for the eastern region of Van guard Distributors, Inc., has been named campaign manag er for Hoyle Martin's bid for the District 2 City council seat The announcement was made by Martin who said he selected Reid, "because of his success at Duke Power and his civic Involvement and leader ship qualities." Reid, a retired Charlotte- Mecklenburg School System employee, served 15 years as the director of minority af fairs at Duke Power company. He Is a past director of Urban Industries, an active member of the Mecklenburg County Park Commission, a U.S. Se lective Service Board member.
