The 4 p.m. cere mony was held at United Em manuel Holiness Chrch In Boston, Mass and was ofllclated by Rev. William Watson and as sisted by Rev. Maggie L. Mallory. Cheryl, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bunn, Sr. , Is a 1988 graduate of Johnson C. Smith University where she majored In communication arts. The bride Is employed with The Charlotte Post Newspaper as a graphic artist. Wayne, the son of Mr. Vincent G. and Rev. Maggie L. Mallory, Is a 1983 graduate of Johnson C. Smith University where he ma jored In communication arts. The groom Is a shipping super visor with Jefferson Pilot Data Services In Charlotte. The bride was given In marri age by her father. The bride wore a white and lace taffeta dress with p>earl ac cents. The neckline and sleeves were of lace and pearls. The gown was fitted to the knee where ruflles began and contin ued Into a five-foot train. The bodice was of drop pearls and lace overlay. Ruffles accent ed the shoulders with small cluster of pearls in center of the ruffle accents. The back con sisted of open shape of a heart trimmed In lace. The lower back consisted of a bow which when connected with the train gave an Illusion of flowing ruffles from the waist to the floor. The head piece, which was de signed by the bride, was a braid ed pearl band with a gathering of sheer white netting at the back of the head and a flowing white netting blush. The bou quet consisted of pearls, silk white and lavender roses with an Ivy and lavender floral cas cade. The matron of honor was Mrs. Oleatha Thibodeaux, sister of the bride. She wore a lavender taffeta and lace tea length dress. Lace overlay dropped to the hips and accented with a bow. She carried a bouquet of white and lavender silk roses and purple carnations. The bridesmaids Included Ms. Cathy Adams, Mrs. Beverly Johnson, cousin of the groom, Ms. Nicole Klbbe, cousin of the Drakeford And McCleave Engagement Ms. Roxlne Drakeford of West- ville. South Carolina, announc es the engagement of her daughter, Theresa Drakeford to William Douglas McCleave. The groom-elect Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elliott C. McCleave of Charlotte. The wedding Is planned for October 14th at Adams Metro politan AME Church In Char lotte. Parker And Harden To Wed Mrs. Betty J. McGrlff of Char lotte £innounces the engage ment of her daughter, Jennifer Denise Parker to Leroy Alexan der Harden. The bride Is also the daughter of the late Lee An drew McGrlff. The groom-elect Is the son of Mrs. Mae Harden Gra ham of Upper Marlboro, Mary land and the late Michael Gra ham. They each carried a silk bouquet of Afri can violets. The flower girls wore short sleeve lavendar taf feta gowns accented with laven der lace. Headpieces were made of a lavender lace and purple ribbon band with lavender rose buds. The bride's mother wore a pink taffeta v-neckllne dress with chiffon overlay. She had a matching jacket, satin purse and shoes. She wore a silk lav ender and purple rose and car nation corsage accented with lavender and purple ribbon. The bridegroom's mother wore a lavender chiffon dress with overlay. She had matching lace gloves and satin shoes. ' She wore a silk lavender and purple rose and carnation corsage ac cented with lavender and purple ribbon. The ring bearer was Master John Borden, Jr. and the best man was Mr. Wesley Payne. The ushers were: Mr. Chris Adams, cousin of the groom, Mr. Lee Bunn, Mr. Sonny Bunn and Mr. Troy Bunn, brothers of the bride, Mr. Randall Fields, Mr. Willie Patton, Mr. Raymond Pinckney, Mr. Robert Poole, Mr. LeRoy Scott, Dr. Quentin Shaw and Mr. Robert F. Thibodeax, Sr., brother-in-law of the bride. All of the ushers wore Lord West tuxedos with lavendar cummer bunds and bow ties. The groom wore tails and a white pique vest and bow tie.
