Cameras on board police cruisers

leave the automobile on traffic
stops, the camera can zoom
down and record the license
plate number, then return to
the usual wide shot.
Once the officer is out of the
vehicle, they can turn on a
microphone attached to their
shirt by touching a button on
their waist. There is an orange
light on the right-hand comer
of the patrol vehicle that will
light up, letting the officer
know that all components are
mnning.

Street says that the YMCA
will provide the necessary
training to equip volunteers to
do their jobs effectively.
“We will instruct them in
constituting attractive ways of
emphasizing the importance of
sta3dng in school as the pre
requisite to getting good jobs
and finding stable, lucrative
careers in the future,” he said.
The YMCA will ask their vol
unteers to spend at least one
hour a week with the child
that they are assigned to.
