14A RELIGION / The Charlotte Post Thursday, April 10,1997 The Prophet’s Column This is a paid advertisement by J. M. Little Dear Friends, THE PROPHET'S COLUMN 9626 FELDBANK DRIVE CHARLOTTE, NO, 28216 NEWSLETTER- MARCH 1997 The salvation of every soul is a pure miracle of the grace of God. But only in salvation of the Lord (Jonah 2:9), but salvation is the Lord. Do you knovsf Him? The greatest thing in all this uni verse is to kno\v Christ as your Lord and your Saviour. When I behold the total depravity of the human heart, in all its hatred (Romans 8:7 and Isaiah 1 ) and rebellion against God. I have to cry; “there is no hope in any sin ner to see himself, or any work the sinner may do!” There is only hope in Christ. My slimer friend, my only Hope is Christ, your only Hope is Christ. If you could only get a glimpse of your self under the illumination ofthe Holy Spirit (John 16:7-11) you’d immediately see your helpless condition and you would flee to Christ. Oh, may God open your heart and let you see just whom you are. Men are proud, and puffed up with a great opinion of them selves. Why? It is because it has never pleased the Lord to let you see yourself as you are in. the light of His eternal Word. If it ever pleases ,my heavenly Father to show mercy unto you, letting you see yourself as you are, you’ll fall at His feet dying for mercy as a doomed, hell deserving sinner. Have you ever seen that you deserve to spend eternity in Hell? You win before God saves you. And when God saves you, you win give Him all the praise and glory. If you are resting in what you have done, you are not saved! With the eternal des tinies of souls at stake I must be true to your souls. Just yester day a young man told me he gave his life And this was after his pastor asked him if he believed in God, and the Holy Spirit, and that Christ is the Son of God. I quickly told that young man that giving an intellectual assent to those truths is not sal vation! And it isn’t. Your consenting to the fact that Jesus Christ is the Son of God is not salvation! The demons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God but there is no redemption for them. Before you can be saved, you must be awakened to your lost condition (Luke 19:10 and Ephesians 2:1).
