The school plans a two-day ce?remMiy begiiming March 30 to tliank Bradley for her courage and perseverance and to a|)ologize for the difti- culties she encountered at what was then called Greensboro High School. Bradley transferred to tlie scluxtl in 1957 - tliree years after tlie U.S. Supreme Court outlawed school segregation — for her senior year in part l)ecau8e it was closer to her home. She went on to make the school’s honor roll and go on to college. She earned a doctorate after writing a dissertation on her hi^-school experience and is now a [»x)fessor of African-American studies at Claris Atlanta University Grimsley High School will honor Bradley with a portrait and a plaque located in the campus’ main building.
