Bad Majority Over Page of 55 Craig for Governor, Ran Ahead of Wil son. Lexington, Nov. 9. The board of canvassers completed their work late this afternoon and pome interesting figures are the result. Contrary to the expectations of Democrats, neither Wilson nor Craig carried the county Wilson received 2,481 votes, Taft lr 509 and the Roosevelt 1,143. A sur prise to the Bull Moosers was the showing of T. R., who fell 400 votes behind Taft, and of Iredell Mcares, who polled only 567 votes in the coun ty against 2,118 for Settle and 2, 505 for Locke Craig. For congress R. Don Laws led over Mr. Page by 55 votes. - For the state senate in the 26th district R. E. Little and Wade H. Phillips, Democrats, ran a few votes behind Parker and Gil . bert, Republican candidates. The fight for the house was close, Ivey G. 1 Thomas winning over his Republican j opponent, T. E. McCrary, by 30 votes. C. C. Shaw, of Denton, Democrat, was elected sheriff by 52 votes, de feating C. W. Miller, who has been register of deeds for four years. Wal ter S. Anderson, Democrat, was elect ed register of deeds over Fred C. Miss Meade Iraley b47& i sink.
