Brown, of Mt Ulla, entertained a number of relatives and friends in ihonor of Dr. Brown's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Henry Brown, whose golden wedding was celebrat ed. . AH those present felt that it was a privilege to be present and offer con gratulations and good wishes to these excellent people who have rounded out a half; century of life together and wish them many more happy wedding anniversaries. Mr. and Mrs. Brown were married on January 1, 1866 by' Rev. W. B. Watts the pastor of Rock Creek church, y After a sumptuous dinner, Rec. J. C. Grier pastor of Rock Creek church called on Rev. B. S. Brown, a brother of Mr. Brown to conduct a short re ligious service and after the reading of an appropriate passage of scrip ture and prayer by Mr. Brown, the pastor made a few remarks and the guests departed after singing several appropriate hymns favorites of Mr. and Mrs. Brown.
