Boone, of Boxobel, representing a Baltimore house, was here last Tuesday. Mr. Chesley W. Draper, who was "under the weather" s last Tuesday, is fast recovering. Mr. A. J. Vaughan, Wralter R. Smith and J. Hermann Outland went on the excursion to Baleigh last Monday. Mr. J. M. Lassiter, our popular jeweler, has just purchased a new bicycle which is the finest we have yet seen. It weighs only 24 lbs. and with it he can skim over the ground at almost light ning speed. Mr- C. S. Lassiter has rented the Scull store at Behoboth and formed a, copartnership under the style of C. S. Lassiter & Co. for the transaction of a general mer chandise business, and moved his family -there yesterday. Stephen is a very clever young man and we wish him much successvliich we believe he will attain. Mr. J unius Yaughan, wife and three children are quite sick with severe attacks ofchills and fevers. Three of Mr. T. J. Yauhan's children are also very sick. Mr. Timothy Yaughan is some better, but , his daughter, Miss Roxie,,is real sick. All these cases are in one immediate vicinity where there have? been several other cases recently. 1 Potecasi Locals. Mr. J. JN. Jlart, of Lewiston, N. C, spent a fcwldays in town last week. Stokes, was kicked by his father's horse Saturday but was not seriously injured. The horse was eating his dinner in the yard and Edgar was playing in the ard and it is supposed that he bothered the lorse who resented it with a kick.
