The program comes your way; bringing you the past week’s news of happenings around the college campus. Usually this new'S is presented by a student of the college. Often guest speakers are also rendered by members of our faculty. Special music is featured on the program. The speakers are sometimes members glee club, and sometimes outsiders render music for us. S. TJ. members attended the North Caro lina Baptist Student Convention in Raleigh on November 7, 8, and 9. The keynote of the convention was “Christ Must Reign.” The program included addresses, feat ures — panels and discussion groups, Sacred Concert, Special Music, and Fellowship periods. Miss Betty Jane Thompson, Senior at Woman’s College, pre sided. The convention wa^^senjoyed very much by all students who attended. Impressive Service Held The B. S. U. has sponsored some- very inspiring vesper services of which the candlelight service was the most outstanding. This service was led by Mr. Henry L. Reeves, Charles Middle ton and Imogene Finch. Charles Middleton rendered a solo, accompanied by Imogenie ■ oh, after which we had the pleasure of hearing the recordings of three selections by a choir from Nashville, Tennessee. Joe Lang :.i;d Jean Lewis gave us their testimony. The service was carried out m 1 beautiful way and was very impressive. Each one present will iKvays remember it .
