Under the direction of Mrs. Janet Collins, the theme of tht pagent was "Toyko Olympics". Pic tures as numbered are: 1). The Chowan College Choir under the direction of Professor Trelles Case gave many selections which were appreciated by their audience. 2). The Olympic Contestants pa raded before performing their many acrobatic feats. 3). The May Pole Dance with Lisa Garrison, Kelly Hamilton, Debbie McCraw, Gertie Revelle, Juppy Hamilton, Paul Batchelor, Ben Sutton, Berry Sowell, Summer Burgwyn and Gary Whitaker performing. 4). President Bruce E. Whitaker appears to be enjoy ing kissing the May Day Queen Donna Diane Dick son. This is an annual occurance he would not care to miss. 5). Chowan College gymnasts performed many feats. One of the most interesting was the use of the "balance beam". Shown here are Sharyn Jones and Brenda Walser. 6). Gymnasts Pat Mann, Laura Jo Glenn, Janet Leonard and Susan Harmon gracefully perform balancing stunts. 7). There are few circus gymnasts who can out perform our girls shown on the horizontal bar.
