Hi, This is your B.S.U. Reporter
bringing you “on and off” campus act-
tivites of the Baptist Student Union.
Firs,t of all, let me invite each of
you personally, to attend, our Vesper
services held each Monday and Thurs
day evening. Unless otherwise desig
nated, they are always held in the
Askew Student Union. Our program
consists of singing and a short devo
tional, led by our Devotional chairmen
Judy Winborne and Dick Murphy, or
students who are asked to participate
and have their own program- Some
times we vary our programs with spe^
cial features or a movie. Just keep your
eyes open for posters of the coming
attractions!..
The B.S.U. has had two called meet
ings, led by our President, Rudy Mor
ton. State B.S.U. activities were re
layed to us and are as follows, Nov.
5-7 N.C. B.S.U. Fall convention will be
held at Wake Forest College in Winston-
Salem. The theme will be “Faith and
Learning” and all BSU’ers are urged
to attend. It’s an experience you’ll
never forget plus all the “great”
people you meet and the challenges
set before you! This year there’ll be
a little more action, as those who wish
may witness the football game between
Wake Forest and Va. Tech. —Don’t for
get, Nov. 5—7!
BSU and you will actively participate
in the LISTEN (Love Impels Sacri
fice Toward Every Need) Fund Pro
ject again this year. This past summer
the LISTEN Team worked and con
structed churches in Cherokee. N.C.
and next summer, eight N.C. baptist
students will have the opportunity to
serve in Brazil!
Over the Thanksgiving Holidays, an
International Student Retreat is held
at Montreal for the foreign students.
Anyone may apply to attend. It’s surely
well-worth it!
As you can see, we have a full and
active year —and this is just part of
what BSU does.
Come join us and be a part of it
