Activity in the stadium began early in the day with 14 high school bands from North Carolina and Virginia competing for honors. Band Day was sponsored by the Student Government Association in cooperation with the Fine Arts Department. Later in the day, the Braves came from behind to win their homecoming football game against Hudson Valley of Troy, N. Y., 24-13. The win was savored during an after-the-game gathering for alumni in McDowell Columns. V
