GREGORY TUTWILER
Graduate named
Systems manager
for publishing
Gregory Edward Tutwiler, an
honors graduate in the Class of
1984, has accepted the position as
Manager of Computer Publishing
Systems with Kwik Copy Printing
in Harrisonburg, Va.
Tutwiler is a May, 1988,
graduate of James Madison
University with a Bachelors of
Fine Arts degree in Graphics
Designs. He received the
Associate in Printing Technology
degree from Chowan.
The new manager serves as a
representative member on the
Harrisonburg Chamber of
Commerce. He also has accepted
the position as President of the
Alumni Association for the local
chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha
fraternity, where he was a
member as an undergraduate
student.
While serving as vice president
of the chapter, Tutwiler received
the Outstanding Brother of the
Year award for 1987. Lambda
Chi Alpha is the third largest
social fraternity organization in
the nation with more than 225,000
members.
Guitar duo
presents
recital
Neil and Tamara Caulkins of
Greensboro, preented a classical
guitar duo concert in Daniel
Recital Hall in November.
According to Dr. James
Chamblee, chairman of the
sponsoring Department of Fine
Arts, “Neil and Tamara Caulkins
have performed in Spain,
throughout the United States, and
on radio and television. They
have received critical acclaim as
well as numerous awards and
scholarships.”
Dr. Chamblee said the varied
repertoire of the classical guitar
duo included 16th Century duets
of Enrique Valderrabano, the
classical duos of Fernando Sor,
and contemporary composers.

Dawn Tyler is a Chowan College student from
Ahoskie, N. C. In addition to her studies and cam
pus activities, Dawn also works parttime in the Of
fice of Counseling and Career Development.
Dawn is one of 455 Chowan students who
work up to 20 hours per week to help pay for their
college education. Without this financial aid,
many of these students would not be able to re
main in college.
Chowan is pleased to provide and help pay for
the work of students who take this kind of in
itiative. Each year, Chowan pays thousands of
dollars from its operating budget to students
needing financial aid. Chowan must look to its
friends for help.
For only $10 per month, $120 a year, you can
help those students who want to work to help pay
