Giving consideration to a sport which has been a pastime to boys during many generations, the State wide game laws made special pro vision which would allow the trap ping of rabbits with the old-fashioned trap or gun. Director Wade H. Phillips has drawn the attention of the public to this provision of the law following receipt of requests for information from a number of sources. "Aliow anee for the continuation of this sport the director points out, is made in the text of the law which allows trapping or hunting of the cottontail without gun at any time. “WKila fka nnow nnar... B_1_!•_ r&bbits with a gun,” says Director Phillips, "is from November 1st to March 1st, and there is no bag limit on this game, the law makes a spe cial provision in favor of the boys in the country who want to catch rab bits with the old-fashioned box or gum at any .time.” The question of trapping rabbits has been brought up frequently this year, especially since the supply of the creatures is said to be good in most sections of the State.
