The center is an expansion of the AIDS Wills Project, begun last year, and will be staffed by approximately 12 students, who will receive academic credit for their work. SeconlJtanalSCNOSIIMiltanoanced COLUMBIA — South Carolina’s second annual AIDS Walk will be held on Saturday, March 4 at Finlay Park in Columbia at 9:00 am. This year’s AIDSWalk will include an 8K walk and 8K. run. The event will raise money for HIV/AIDS service agencies in the state. Columbia Mayor Bob Coble will deliver the keynote address, and WNOK-FM will broadcast live from Finaly Park. Common Threads, the organizing group sponsoring the walk, is hoping to attract 600 walkers and raise $50,000. Last year’s walk •drew a crowd of 350 from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia and raised over - $25,000. Proceeds from the walk will be distributed to organizations in South Carolina through a grant proposal process.
