Featured speaker will be histo rian John O'Emilio of the University of Chicago. D'Emilio's presentation, "Will the Courts Give Us Equality? Reflections on Lawrence and the Same Sex. Marriage Effort", will be followed by a panel discussion, "A North Carolina Perspective on Options for Equality" featuring North Carolina attorneys, public officials, and legal scholars. Free Legal Presentation for LGBT People A free legal program entitled "LGBT Law 101" will bepresented by a panel of attorneys on Thursday, March 23 at 6:30 p.m: at the Lesbian and Gay Community Center of Charlotte. The presentation is sponsored by NC GALA Institute for Equal Rights. The program is designed to educate LGBT people about die law and the ways it impacts their lives. The panel of attorneys will also take general ques tions from the audience.
