Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Baker, of Wilkesboro, spent the week end with Mrs. Baker’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. McMillan. Miss June Cox, who has been imployed in Washington, D. C., has returned to her home at Pin ey Creek. Congressman and Mrs. R. L. Doughton, of Washington, D. C., are spending the holidays here at their home. Choate re turned home Wednesday, after spending the Christmas holidays with their daughter, Mrs. John F. Sinnett and .Dr. Jaianett .at. Hunt ington, West Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Collins and daughter, Nancy, are spend ing the holidays with Mrs. Col lins’ parents in Moorefield, West Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Collins and son, John Bryan, of Asheville, spent the holidays here with rel atives. Mrs. James Dalton, of Roanoke, Va., spent the holidays here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Edwards. Mr. and Mrs Porter Collins have moved to their farm at Glade Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Ben G. Reeves and son, Ben, Jr., spent Christmas in West Jefferson with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn D. Rich ardson have moved into their home here which was formerly known as the Richardson apart ments. Dan Morris, Seaman 2-C, of the U. S. Coast Guard, New Hav en, Conn., spent the Christmas holidays with his uncle, Amos Wagoner. Seaman Morris is a native of Juneau, Alaska. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Duncan and daughter, Jane; Edward Dun can, Jr., and D. C. Duncan spent Christmas Day with Mrs. D. C. Duncan, who is confined in a hos-, pital near Greensboro. Miss Donna Lou Rutherford, of Winston-Salem, spent the holi days here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rutherford. Robert Fleetwood, of Concord, spent the Christmas holidays here. Miss Anne Reeves returned to Winston-Salem, Wednesday, after spending the holidays here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lon M. Reeves. Edwin Duncan, Jr., of the U. S. Merchant Marines, Brooklyn, N. Y., spent the holidays here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Duncan, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. George McKinley, of Waynesville, are spending sometime here with Mrs. McKin ley’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Cheek. Mr. and Mrs. Judy Womble have moved to the P. C. Collins house near Twin Oaks. Misses Mary and Gloria Rizoti, of Greensboro, spent the Christ mas holidays here with their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Rizoti. Miss Gena Sue Gambill. stu dent nurse at the Lewis-Gale hos pital, Roanoke, Va., is visiting relatives here this week.
