All-Stars Defeat Sparta Last Friday night when the West Jefferson All-Star girls met the Sparta All-Stars on the Spar ta court, the W. J. lassies won a 39-15 victory. The girls showed .incanny scoring ability with Brown as high scorer for W. J. with 15 points. Johnson led the Sparta girls with 11 points. Ma ry Sturdivant, Vivian Johnson and Mary Brown teamed togeth er in the forward positions. Ver na Sturdivant replaced Brown in the last half of the game. In the guard positions, Doris Wayman, Kathleen Woodie and Marie Mc Millan played a good defensive game. The Jeffersons Rotarians played the Sparta Lions with the Lions taking the game 18-16.
