Paul Richardson spent last week end with his mother, Mrs. Ethelyn Richardson, at White head. He left Sunday for Chapel Hill, N. C., to attend the annual Carolina Bankers Conference, in session this week. Mr. Richard son was sent to the conference as a representative of the North western Banks. He and Mrs, Richardson are employees of the Northwestern Banks at Black Mountain and Old Fort, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pugh left last week for Charlotte, where Mr. Pugh has entered school. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Porter and daughters, Peggy Ann and Frances, spent Saturday in Ro anoke, Va. Mixed summer flowers were used in the living room and cov ers were laid for two tables. Winning high score for the club was Mrs. C. A.
