Armentrout, of Max Meadows, is a graduate of the high school there and has spent three years in the U. S. Army with the 1st Air Division in the Pacific Theatre of war. MOVES TO MT. AIRY Jack Thompson, who has held the position of license examiner at High Point, was transferred to Mt. Airy, it was learned this we°k. He assumed his duties there on Monday. ELD. S. G. Fourteen from Alleghany will enter Appalachian State, Teach ers College They are George Roe, Evelyn -Mitehjell, Lucille Mjtohell, Doris, Collins, Uptie Andrew^, Dennis Franklin, Wanda Truitt, Toihlhy Sue Moxley,:Nbrma : Fen der, Sue McGrady, Thompson Shepherd, Bryan Eldridge James Hardin and Reba Edwards. Those who are now at the Wo man’s College are Emogene Choate, Betty Joe Gentry, Eve lyn Brown, Johnsie Gambill, Jane Bledsoe and Mary Ruth Miller. Five who will enter the Uni versity of North Carolina are Harold Reed, Harold Absher, Pat Burgiss, Edwin Duncan, Jr., and Billy Carroll Choate. Alice Doughton is doing post-graduate work. Union Baptist To Meet Friday The annual session of the Un ion Baptist Association will con vene at the Saddle Mountain Un ion Baptist church tomorrow morning.
