' • A special committee composed of Mesdames Richardson, Reeves and Walker and Miss Dorothy Evans were apointed to' plan a meeting in November when Miss Madge Lewis, of North Wilkes boro will be the guest speak er. Her topic will be “Our Young People.” Mission study for Foreign Mis sion was planned for near fu ture. Mrs. E. E. Caudill and Mrs. W. F. Hoppers were visitors. The hostess served a salad course. Miss Landreth , Marries In Md. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Landreth, of Piney Creek, announce the marriage of their daughter, Lau rene to Charles F. Warden, for merly of Sparta and Bel Air, Md. Hie wedding took place on October 4 at the First Presby terian church in Bel Air with Rev. E G. Switzer officiating, using the double ring ceremony. Mr. Warden served two years in the U. S. Navy.
