To the Democratic Voterp of the
Washington, Long Acre and Chocowtnlty
Townships:
I beg to announce my candidacy
for the office of Recorder in the above
mentioned district, subject to the action
of the democratic primaries to
be held September 7, 1912.
I was born and reared in the
I country ana nave always maintained
C. my intimacy with the country peo_
pic upoa'whom I greatl^ rely for my
? success in,this undertaking.
Several years' experience in the
court house in the Superior Court, in
| the Cleric's office and the office of the
\ Register of Deeds has aided me greati
ly In becoming qualified to fill this
office which" I believe I can do to
the satisfaction of the people of the
I community. V
In addition to this I was city (Jerk
in the city of Washington for two
years, giving a $15,000 bond, and
secretary of the County Board of
Elections, both of which positions I
bctibVo I filled acceptably.
Many of the country people know
tho treatment often received at the
hands of the chief of police of the
city 01 Washington, and if elected to
the position of recorder it will be one
of my most sacred duties to see that
2 such abuses are not tolerated and
I that Justice shall be meted out to all
I persons equally.
Respectfully,
