[ COUNTY HOME NOTES Miss E. Satterfield, ably assisted by Mrs. B. R. Page and a J j group of young people, rendered a splendid Thanksgiving program j at the home on Tuesday evening, of the past week. The sern vice included appropriate scripe ture readings, prayers and songs, interspersed with testimonials of gratitude and appreciation for the great mercies, blessings and goodness of God. At the conclua sion of the service a remembrv ance was handed to each ine mate present. Those in attendance besides Miss Satterfield and j Mrs. Page were: Misses Ida e Moore, Eloise, and Dorothy Wily letts, Lettie, Vada, and Letha x Sellers, Hazel Hickman and Gla|dys Hilburn, Messrs. Goley Lewis, e Ellis Sellers and Joseph Willetts. n Mrs. Virda Greer returned from her visit to Wrightsville Sound on Wednesday. On Thursday afternoon Revere end and Mrs. T. H. Biles, accompanied by Mrs. Ethel Ful3 wood, Mrs. Selmie Aldrich and ^ Mrs. Lizzie Southerland and son, called and held a fitting Thanksgiving service at the home, conisisting of scripture reading, songs .. and greatful expressions for the ^Lord's mercies and blessings. After the services a remembrance [I ifor the day was brought in for o each inmate. j j Mrs. R. L. Johnson and Miss l_ Maybelle Reynolds also brightened the home by a call on Thurs,day afternoon. W. e Kirby, Jr. The inmates are glad ^ | to welcome him in their family | and feel sure that a man of his igood qualities and standing will exert a helpful and beneficial influence in the home.
