According to announcement by
Hlnton James, commissioner fori
the Bureau of Inland Fisheries,
the North Carolina closed season
on freshwater fishing will be lifted
Easter Sunday and Easter
Monday.
After these two days of grace
the 40-day closed season to allow
the fish to spawn will again become
effective. The season will
reopen on May zoui 10 remain j
open until the first of next April.
There is no closed season for
freshwater fishing in commercial
waters, and this leaves Brunswick
river open for sportsmen. On
two days last week sportsmen
from Northwest township reported
a fine catch of bass from this
stream.

Holds Meeting
The Antioch Home Demonstration
Club met April 12th with

was called to order by the vicepresident,
Mrs. Carl S. Ward.
