KXI4TY BIRTHDAY PARTY Miss Mary Caroline Hunt was iwstess to a number of her little friends Friday afternoon on the occasion of her seventh birthday. Numerous games and contests were enjoyed, following which re freshments were served the fol lowing guests: Ann Brooks New ton, Norma Ann Loughlin, Vera Anne Willis, Charlene Newton, Trudy McNeil, Patricia Ann Adams, Wanda Lynn Brown, Carol Ann Wolfe, Gay Frances Spencer, Julia Ashburn, Charles Ray Wells, John Sanders and Charles Trott. HONORS BRIDE-ELECT Mrs. Maxine Fulcher entertain ed Friday night at a bridal shower for Miss Mary Ann Molly check, bride elect of June. The home of the hostess was beau tifully decorated with cut flowers and on her arrival the honoree was presented with a corsage of gardenias. Mrs. Kathleen Hlatt presided over the guest book and Mrs. Robert Carson led the games and contests. The first contest was won by Miss Mollycheck and the second by Mrs. G. M. Stephens, Jr. The guests then staged an Impromptu and hilarious "Manless" wedding. After the mock wedding Miss Mollycheck was presented with many lovely and useful ? gifts brought in to her in "going away" luggage. She will attend a school convention at Atlantic City before returning to South port Mrs. Prince O'Brien and daugh ter, Libby, have returned to Southport following an extended visit in New York City. Dr. and Mrs. John R. Ames have returned to their home at lOnancock, Va., after spending the past two weeks visiting in South port. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wescott have returned to Southport fol lowing a trip to Columbia, S. C., and to various points of interest in Western North Carolina. One of the places visited was Chim ney Rock. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fodale and two daughters have returned from Boston, Mass., where they have been visiting relatives. Brunswick Boy Enters Contest Wilbur Earl Earp Will , Compete In State Live stock Judging Contest In Raleigh In August Wilbur Earl Earp, president of the Future Farmers of American chapter at Bolivia high school, will compete in the state contest for livestock judging at the Fu ture Farmers Convention in Ra leigh in August. This young Brunswick county boy was one of the winners in i the district contest, and if sue- 1 cessful in the state contest will, win a trip to the National Live stock Show at Kansas City. The boys in the Bolivia Chap ter of the Future Farmers of Anierica were members of the Brunswick-Columbus Federation and were winners in several con tests held during the year. They won first place in competition for Parliamentary Proceedure and Tool Judging and placed two men on the team fo enter the district Livestock Judging con test.
