planned, Mrs. Russ served cake

ing of Anthem Davis Friday
night.
Marie Wilson, a Tabor City
colored woman, was on the
witness stand and Coroner
Nance asked who was with
her at a certain time. She
named one person and then
added, "and Five Cents." Cor
oner Nance looked surprised
and tried to ascertain whether
she referred to a nickel or
five cents.
"Five Cents, that's what
they call her; that's all I
know," Marie Wilson said.
And Five Cents she is, who
ever she is.
